Landscapes
A series of 27 small, intimate oil and acrylic paintings made from July-September 2024. Centered on observing the surrounding landscape, Coats trains her eye on fleeting moments in nature and simple compositions; never working from photographs, she paints only from memory, lending a dreamlike, instinctual feeling to the work.
Fish Girl Bird
